Squidward Tentacles

Squidward is actually an octopus and not a squid despite his name, as well as main neighbor and co-worker of the protagonist. He is sarcastic in his comments, which attempt, without much success, to offend Bob and Patrick. Although both treat him as a friend, Squidward hates them to a great extent. Squidward is a very intelligent character, obsessed with succeeding as a musician.
